Located in the southeastern part of Piedmont’s Roero region, this is a small (less than eight acres) family-run operation run by Ermanno Cordero, widely considered one of the rising stars in Piedmont. Ermanno’s father Antonio founded the estate in 1955, naming it after his wife Rosavica, but they began bottling under their own label only in 2015. Ermanno’s brother Ignacio assists in the cellar, and his parents still help out in the vineyards. His version is classic Barbera, with lots of ripe red fruit and a hint of mint, of medium weight, with juicy acidity.
