This family business was started in 1953, when Agusti Torello Mata made and bottled his first 500 bottles of cava; today, almost seventy years later, the company, now run by the second generation, Alex and Gemma Torello, is secure in its reputation as one of the most prestigious cava producers on the market, now producing 500,000 bottles of cava annually. In addition to their sparkling wines, Torello also produces this still version of Xarel-lo (one of the key grapes used for making cava); fermented in stainless steel and left on the lees for three months, this is a bright, lively white, crisp and exciting, with lovely notes of stone fruit and tropical fruit and good acidity.
