As the winery name might indicate, Barnaby Tuttle, who founded the winery with his wife Olga in 2005, is a serious fan of wines from Germany and Alsace. The first vines they planted were, of course, Riesling, but they soon added the reds and white of the Pinot family to their Willamette Valley vineyards, along with a couple of other white varietals and now also source fruit from other vineyards in the valley. Their first commercial vintage was in 2008. Barnaby’s Pinot Noir is done in neutral oak; rich with notes of Bing cherry and a touch of earth, it is classic Willamette Pinot.
