In 2009 Noah Dorrance joined up with two other California wine industry veterans to found the highly successful negociant operation called Banshee Wines. A few years on Noah, with his wife Kelly, started a side project called Reeve Wines, which eventually became so successful that Noah left Banshee in order to devote his full attention to Reeve. Now Noah and Kelly have created this complementary brand, called BloodRoot, effectively a secret collaboration among acclaimed winemakers with great vineyard sourcing who have come together to make value-minded wines that overdeliver with their quality. This is their Sonoma Coast Noir, sourced largely from vineyards in the Russian River Valley; it offers velvety tannins along with great length and depth that support a core of appealing cranberry and rhubarb flavors.
