The Roberto Ferraris winery, located in Agliano Terme in the heart of the Barbera d’Asti district, was founded by Roberto’s grandfather Stefano in 1923. When Roberto took over, he took possession of 25 acres of Barbera vines planted by his grandfather, some of which are now more than 95 years old. These vines, having been impeccably cared for over the years, produce richly concentrated, yet beautifully balanced fruit, which is fermented entirely in temperature-regulated steel tanks to preserve its freshness and character. In particular, Roberto’s twenty-year stewardship, with his commitment to rigorous farming, low yields, and a sensitive approach in the cellar, has cemented his family’s reputation as one of the finest producers in Asti. This, his entry-level offering, is an aromatically dynamic and elegant red with vibrant, pure fruit.
