La Gironda is located within the wine hills of Nizza Monferrato iin Asti, where the Barbera grape reigns supreme. It is the property of the Galandrino family, today represented by Susanna and Alberto Galandrino. For many years the family had been largely concerned with the manufacture of winemaking equipment but returned to their origins in 2000. "La Lippa" is their entry-level offering, a young uncomplicated Barbera done entirely in stainless steel to maintain its freshness and lively taste; it has intense aromas of red fruit and a dry, tangy palate.
