The Arnoux family has been a presence in the southern Rhône since 1717. Marc and Jean-Francois Arnous are the current generation carrying on their family's long history here, on their estate that sits next door to the old Vacqueyras church. Their 100 acres of vineyard is at the west of the appellation, extending all the way to Chateauneuf, with additional volume supplemented with growing partners who have supplied the family for decades. Their "Vieux Clocher," named in honor of the church bell tower, is a 75/20/5 blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre; light and bright with plenty of vibrant red and black cherry and a hint of raspberry, it shows garrigue herbs and spice on the nose with an uplifting freshness that makes it very approachable.
