The Pelaquie family has been growing grapes and making wine in the Rhone Valley since the 15th Century. Today it is Luc Pelaquie who carries on the family tradition in this charming estate in St. Victor-la-Coste in the Gard, on the right bank of the Rhone. The estate owns 250 acres of vineyards in four locations, Lirac, Tavel, Laudun, and the Cotes-du-Rhone. Luc’s flagship red Cotes-du-Rhone is a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Syrah; with vibrant red fruit flavors and edged with notes of thyme, rosemary, and a rouch of black pepper, it is medium-bodied with smooth tannins and a balanced finish.
