Domaine de Beaurenard, in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, has been a family-run estate for eight generations. Today run by two brothers, Daniel and Frederic Coulon, the estate covers a little under 80 acres in Chateauneuf and some 63 acres in the village of Rasteau. Their Cotes du Rhone is a blend dominated by Grenache for body and structure combined with the fruit and elegance of Syrah. Bright ruby in color, it has a nose of red fruit with subtle hints of spice, good fruit and spices on the palate, plus a hint of licorice and a mineral finish.
