The estate is located in a picturesque 16th century Tuscan villa, Villa Romizi, on the slopes of Valiano di Montepulciano. The farm in which the villa sits dates back to the Roman times, evidence of which has been preserved in the ruins in front of the villa. Trerose is 445 acres in size, of which 193 are planted to grapes for the production of Vino Nobile, the rest used for the production of Rosso di Monralcino and partially planted to other varietals. Trerose recently became part of Bertani Domains. This Santa Caterina takes its name from the hillside vineyard from which the grapes are sourced; it features a nose exploding with ripe red fruit and a palate with the unique sweetness and softness that only Sangiovese grapes from the Montepulciano area can achieve.
