ei was established in 1964 by Alibrando Dei. For many years the family sold their grapes to other producers, but in 1985 they began estate-bottling their own wines. Today Cantine Dei is run by Alibrando Dei’s granddaughter Caterina Dei, who spent part of her childhood in the Montepulciano countryside, moving permanently to Montepulciano at the beginning of the 1990s to take charge of the winery.. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is considered by many to be the ultimate expression of Sangiovese. This version is a smooth red with cherry, plum, and spice on the palate, fine balance, and a long finish.
