The Barbi family first planted vines in the rolling hills of the western reaches of Umbria in 1970 and are now in their second generation of family ownership. Their vineyards are planted exclusively to Italian varietals, including Sangiovese and Montepulciano. “Il Ruspo” is 100% Sangiovese, vinified in stainless steel and aged six months in American oak. This is an intense red, spicy, rich, and full-bodied.
