The Foraster family has been growing grapes in the Conca de Barbera region of northeastern Spain for more than 150 years, but it was only in 1998 that Julieta Foraste and his son Ricard realized their dream of taking over the estate and making wine. They produce wine from estate fruit only and all the vineyards are farmed organically. The high elevation of Conca de Barbera, combined with cool sea breezes off the Mediterranean, allow the grapes to retain acidity during ripening season, producing wines of great freshness and elegance. This sparkling Rosado is made from 100% Trepat, a red grape native to the Conca de Barbera; it has delicate bubbles, bright red fruit aromas, refreshing acidity and white pepper notes on a lingering finish.
