"Luc Cholot" is the project of two southern French winemakers, Luc Pirlet, a veteran of more than twenty years' experience, and relative newcomer Christophe Cholot, who abandoned a career in marketing to return to his faring roots and become a winemaker. The two joined forces, working with viineyards in the hills near Mount Alaric and on the flatter lands near the coast, and produced their first vintage in 2015. Theirs is an unoaked Chardonnay, well-textured and nicely balanced on the palate, with aromas and flavors of ripe citrus fruit.
