Feudo Montoni is one of Sicily’s most historical wine producers, with the first vineyards having been planted on the estate some time in the 15th century. It is located in Cammarata, in central Sicily, one of the highest-elevation growing areas on the island. Rosario Sierci bought the estate in the late 1800s and it remains in the family to this day, now run by third-generation Fabio Sireci. His Nero d’Avola is rich and bold but still very elegant, with plenty of dark fruit flavors, savory aromas, and a finish full of pleasant complex spice.
