The Lamarche family has been making wine in in Vosne since the 18th Century. The vineyard portfolio of this important domaine was created masterfully over three generations of the Lamarche family, and this is now considered a top-ranked domaine, producing wines that express themselves through terroir rather than power. Francois Lamarche took over from his father Henry in 1985 but died tragically following a tractor accident in 2013. He had for some years been assisted by his daughter Nicole, his niece Nathalie, and his sister Genevieve, but Nicole took charge following the accident and so Domaine Lamarche became Domaine Nicole Lamarche. This is classic red Burgundy, delicate and elegant, quite sleek, with a firm and well-delineated finish.
