Chateau de Vallagon is an ornate turreted castle in the chateau country of the Loire Valley that dates from 1851 and is today run as a sophisticated country-style hotel. The lands of Vallagon were once part of the Chenonceau estate. The vineyard land adjacent to the Chateau de Vallargon was originally acquired separately by Lucien Meyer in 1912. The vineyard, which comprises 25 acres ofd carefully tended vinees, lies at the foot of the castle. This is classic Looire Valey Sauvignon Blanc, with citrus fruits on the nose and palate with a flinty hint of minerality.
