Pierre Riffault’s family has been growing grapes and making wine in the Sancerre region for many generations. In 2005 Bertrand joined his father to work on the estate, and in 2007 Pierre handed over the reins to Bertrand, although Pierre can still be seen often at the winery or in the vineyards. Their Sancerre is a blend of grapes grown on a variety of terroirs, a practice designed to ensure the presence of both fruit and minerality and to produce a more balanced and complex wine. This is a Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of white fruits, flowers, and grapefruit zest and a finish that displays intermingled notes of minerals and citrus zest.
