Celestino Pecci initiated his project in 1968, with the acquisition of two farmhouses and 100 acres of land in Montalcino. A family affair from the start, it remains so today, with Pecci’s daughter Tiziana now running the estate, with the help of her mother and father. Although the farming is organic and natural, winemaking is fairly traditional here, with the wine being aged in giant old botti. This Rosso has an intensely fruity nose and is structured and lively on the palate, with the fruit perfectly integrated with the wood for the short period of ageing.
