Hendrick's is an iconoclastically produced small batch gin distilled in Ayrshire, Scotland, today owned by William Grant & Son. The original product used an unusual distillation process combined with an oddly delicious set of infusions (cucumber, anyone?). Flora Adora is the fourth release in the company’s “Cabinet of Curiosity” series, the experimental side of Hendrick’s that is built around Master Distiller Lesley Gracie’s ongoing experimentation. A limited release like the others in the series, Flora Adora focuses on botanicals and floral plants that are clearly flavored by pollinators. The classic Hendrick’s coriander and cucumber are still here, but the cucumber perhaps a bit muted, with the addition of floral notes from rose petals, chamomile, elderflower, and lemon verbena. This is a floral- and fruit-forward gin here to welcome spring!
