The Bowman family helped settle the Shenandoah Valley as well as parts of Kentucky. John, Abraham, Joseph and Isaac Bowman were Virginia militia officers in the American Revolutionary War. In 1779, they led thirty pioneer families to Madison County, Kentucky, and established Bowman’s Station. This hand-crafted bourbon whiskey, produced by the Sazerac Company, is a tribute to them. This is a triple-distilled spirit made with the finest corn, rye, and malted barley. It has aromas of caramelized apples and nuts and the palate is complex, with hints of vanilla and oak and a smooth, mellow finish.
