Alberta Distillers, the oldest distillery in western Canada, has been producing distilled beverage alcohol for more than seventy years and bottles five whiskies and two vodkas, in addition to exporting in bulk to more than thirty countries. It is today part of the Beam Suntory portfolio. They are today the number one rye producer in all of North America, with 450,000 barrels ageing on site. This cask-strength rye is a limited-edition offering released to the American market only in late 2020. Crafted and distilled in Calgary using pure 100% prairie rye mash bills and Rocky Mountain water, this is a perfectly balanced liquid, exceptionally smooth, with notes of caramel, vanilla, and a hint of chocolate and a smooth lingering finish.
