Omero Moretti was the first to bottle the estate’s wines under the family name in 1992, but the winery was actually founded by his parents. Today the owner and winemaker is Omero’s daughter Giusy. Omero’s wife, a nurse, is the reason they’ve been farming organically for over 30 years: she wanted to be sure that her daughters, who spent all day in the vineyards with their dad, were not exposed to dangerous pesticides and chemicals. Giusy’s “Nessuno” Bianco is an 85/15 blend of Grechetto and Malvasia; done entirely in stainless steel, it is a substantial yet elegant white with aromas and flavors of tropical fruits , white flowers, and sage.
