If there is an aristocracy in Napa Valley, the Wagner family figures prominently among its members. In the early 1970s Chuck Wagner started Caymus Winery with his parents, and now his children are making their mark on the California wine scene. Chuck’s son Joe developed Meiomi as the second lable of his Belle Glos line when he was 24 years old and working with his father at Caymus; in 2015 he sold Meiomi to Constellation Brands. It remains a blend of Pinot Noir grapes from throughout California, a vibrant and food-friendly wine that is approachable on release. Lush yet balanced, it is dark and rich with a long finish.
