The Los Vascos wines are produced by DBR, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), who acquired the property in 1988 after a careful search among more than 100 Chilean wineries for one that could meet the Rothschild criteria for excellence. The property has been completely renovated, both in viticulture and viniculture. With more than 5,500 contiguous acres, this is the largest vineyard in the Caneten Valley of Colchagua. The nose of this Cabernet opens up with fresh red fruits such as plums, strawberries and cherries complimented by subtle herb notes that reflect the character of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. On the palate, the wine has volume and shows plenty of character, with young, tasty ripe tannins which offer a naturally balanced acidity promising good evolution.
