The wines of Leese-Fitch celebrate the restoration of the Leese-Fitch building located in the Sonoma Square. Built in 1836, this historical landmark in Sonoma Plaza was named after Jacob Leese and Henry Fitch, brothers-in-law to General Mariano Vallejo, the founder of the town of Sonoma. This bottling brings together Cabernets from several different California locations, including Lodi, Paso Robles, Clarksburg, and the northern interior, plus small amounts of Merlot, Tannat, Barbera, Petit Verdot, and Alicante Bouchet. A touch of both American and French oak gives the blend some rich vanilla and sweet caramel notes while adding structure to the midpalate. The sum of all these parts makes for a wonderful, rich glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.
