After a decade working as a world-class sommelier, followed by another decade spent as a wine industry executive, Joseph Carr set out on his own to form his family-owned wine company in Napa. Two years later he launched Josh Cellars, named for his father, a line of wines sourced from across many of California’s winegrowing regions. This Cabernet, sourced from vineyards in Mendocino, Lake, Napa, and Sonoma counties, has small amounts of Merlot and Petit Verdot blended in; rich with dark fruits, it is juicy on the palate, with black currant and blackberry flavors, finishing long, with fine firm tannins.
