Founded in 1973 in the Alentejo region of Portugal, southeast of Lisbon, Esporao has since grown to become one of the most powerful and best-known wine groups in Portugal. Here they have planted some 1800 acres of vineyards, olive trees, and other crops, with the vineyards being home to some 40 different varietals. This white showcases the consistency and rich character typical of the best Alentejo whites. A blend of three indigenous grapes, Antao Vaz, Arinto and Roupeiro, it has aromas of grapefruit and white peach, and is creamy, complex and balanced on the palate, with subtle toasty oak rounding out the natural freshness of the blend.
