Founded in 1983 in Katzrin, in the Golan Heights, the Golan Heights Winery is jointly owned by eight Israeli settlements, which also supply the grapes for the wines. Their best-known label is probably Yarden, but Gilgal is also one of their lines, and these wines are given the same care and attention to quality as the Yarden wines. Produced from grapes grown in the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee, this is classic Cab, deep and complex, aged twelve months in French oak.
