Feudo Montoni is one of Sicily’s most historical wine producers, with the first vineyards having been planted on the estate some time in the 15th century. It is Llcated in Cammarata, in central Sicily, one of the highest-elevation growing areas on the island. Rosario Sierci bought the estate in the late 1800s and it remains in the family to this day, now run by third-generation Fabio Sireci. While known largely for their red, Nero d’Avola, their white, made from 100% Grillo, is a revelation: it has intense aromas of lemongrass and white peach and is round and textured on a palate of rich, succulent, layered fruits.
