One of the most prominent and established Rhône producers, Guigal owns vineyards in Condrieu and in Côte-Rôtie with illustrious plots producing wines that have become flagships of their appellations. Produced from fifteen-year-old vines, "La Turque" is a blend of 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier wine from the illustrious single vineyard of the same name. Aged for 42 months in new oak, it is one of the most stunning Côte-Rôties on the market; it shows powerful yet elegant small red fruit, blackberry, and Morello cherry aromas on the nose. The expressive palate has a supple attack with a balanced structure, very good concentration and elegant tannins. It shows great ageing potential for up to 25+ years.
