Located in the small village of Urville, this Champagne house was founded in 1808; a family affair then and now, it is today headed up by Michel Drappier. This is an area where Pinot Noir thrives, and the Drappiers say that it runs through their veins. It is not surprising, then, that the Carte d’Or, which is considered the very expression of the Drappier style, comprises at least 75% Pinot Noir. It has a fine aromatic richness, with notes of stone fruits like white peach, and a powerful and complex palate. This is a vinous Champagne of lovely complexity with a characteristic note of quince. Now offered in a festive gift box for the holilday season.
