This iconic Champagne house was founded by wine trader Charles Moet in Epernay in 1743; it was remaned Moet et Chandon in 1833 after Pierre-Gabriele Chandon de Briailles joined the company as a partner of Jean-Remy Moët, Claude Moët's grandson. Today, as co-owner of LVMH, the company owns some 2900 acres of vineyards and annually produces approximately 28,000,000 bottles of champagne. Moët Impérial is the house’s iconic champagne. Created in 1869, it embodies Moët & Chandon’s unique style, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity.
