The Coteaux du Giennois may be the tiniest appellation in the central Loire, but Marc Thibault could not be more enthusiastic about the potential of the area for making great wine. With more than fifty acres of family vineyards under his management, he has emerged as the quality leader in the appellation, with his domaine seen as the perfect home for those in search of mineral, bright expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, but without paying the prices demanded by neighboring appellations. This is a crisp, full-bodied Sauvignon Blanc, with bright acids, good focus and grip, and a long, classy and soil-driven finish.
