Domaine de Baronarques is a very old estate, dating back at least to the 17th Century, when it was called Domaine de Lambert. At the time, the estate belonged to the Abbey of Saint-Polycarpe, a village near Limoux in the Aude department of Southern France. After changing hands several times, in 1998 it became the property of Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her two sons, Philippe and Julien, who completely renovated the vineyards and winery, a process that took five years. The Baroness died in 2014, and her ownership place here was taken by her daughter Camille. Their Limoux Blanc, formerly known as Le Chardonnay de Baron'Arques. offers a refined, elegant nose of pear, lychee and lime and is nicely balanced on the palate, with a long, lingering, and fresh finish.
