Lucien (and his sister Louison) represent the 13th generation of the Raimbault family in the Loire Valley. And Lucien and Louison are not only proficient winemakers; they are also, with siblings Jean-Marie and Sonia, operators of one of the largest hot-air ballon facilities in the area (Lucien is one of the pilots). Lucien, whose first harvest was in 2020, farms vineyards in Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, and the Coteaux Giennois as well as in Menetou-Salon, source of this ""Les Chamblins." "Les Chambins" is a relatively newly planted plot (the first harvest was in 2019) that yeilds a wine that is fresh, youthful, and fruity, a Sauvignon Blanc that is bright and lively on the palate.
