Located in the heart of the Sevre-et-Maine appellation, this is a family estate owned and run by a husband-and-wife team who both grew up in the vineyards of Nantes. They farm some 75 acres of vineyards planted to (for this region) a rather broad range of varietals: in addition to the traditional grape for Muscadet, the Melon de Bourgogne, they also grow Folle Blanche, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gamay, Cabernet and Merlot. Pride of place, however, goes to the Melon de Bourgogne. It here produces an elegant Muscadet with classic lemon, lime, and pear flavors, well-balanced, with a touch of minerality and a refreshing finish.
