Dog Point Vineyard represents the partnership of two couples, Ivan and Margaret Sutherland and James and Wendy Healy. The two men met while working at Cloudy Bay Vineyards, where Ivan was viticulturist for 18 years and James was oenologist for 12 years. They launched the Dog Point label in 2004. Their Sauvignon Blanc has the characteristic aromas of tropical fruits, melon, and lemongrass; it has a soft-textured palate with great purity of fruit, intense flavor, and balanced refreshing acidity.
