Bruno Giacosa, died in January of 2018; he was considered not only one of Piedmont’s leading lights for several decades but one of Italy’s greatest wine producers of all time. Giacosa had been in ill health for some time, and so his two daughters, Bruna and Marina, were already positioned to continue their father’s practices and commitments. Bruna holds pride of place, and continues to uphold her father’s winemaking philosophy to respect traditional techniques while using the best of modern technology. This Arneis ranks as an exceptional Piedmontese white, energetic and bright, with floral, peach, and lemon on the nose, lovely fruit on the palate, tight and tense on the finish.
