Located in Clarksburg, in California’s Sacramento River Delta, Bogle Vineyards started out in the 1870s as a fruit farm, growing cherries peaches and pears. Today, six generations later, it remains a family operation, run by Warren Bogle as president and vineyard manager, Ryan as vice president and chief financial officer, and sister Jody handling customer relations. The decades and generations have seen not jus stabilty but growth: today this family operation also includes Phantom Wines, Twenty Acres By Bogle, Juggernaut Wine Company and Element[AL] Wines. The Bogle Heritage Red is a blend of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, created especially in honor of Petite Sirah being the first red varietal planted by fourth-generation Warren Bogle in 1968; it features enticing aromas from the Petite Sirah and, from the Zinfandel, classic notes of juniper berries and green pepper.
