Bodegas Emilio Moro has long been considered one of the leading quality producers in the Ribera del Duero region of Spain. Bodegas Cepa 21 is the project of Jose Moro, Emilio's grandson, created in 2002 from the passion, heritage and know-how of this third generation of the Moro family. It comprises 125 acres in Castrillo de Duero, a village of Valladolid in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, in an area known as the “The Golden Mile” because of Its terroir combining extreme climate conditions and varied soils. The vineyard is planted entirely to Tempranillo vines grafted from the oldest vines the family has planted. This is quintessential Tempranillo, meaty yet fresh and elegant, with a balanced bouquet, attractive spice notes, and a long and persistent aftertaste.
