Founded in 2003 by Andrew Browne and Dan Bety, Precept Wine is the largest privately-owned wine company in the Pacific Northwest. Their portfolio comprises 26 different brands in Oregon, Idaho, Washington and New Mexico. Battle Creek is one of their Oregon vineyards, located in the mid-Willamette River basin. This is a deliciously remarkable and very fruit-forward offering, regardless of the price. Hints of dusty cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, campfire-toasted marshmallow and tobacco lead to pleasing flavors of fresh-picked raspberry, pie cherry and red currant. Slaty tannins, good acidity and restrained alcohol add to its elegance.
