St. Agrestis was founded in 2014 in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn by two sommeliers returning to New York after a two-month-long trip through Italy. The trip furthered their passion for the unique regional Italian aperitivi and amari, and became the inspiration to create their own versions. Their “inferno” is made in a style very similar to Campari, but is a more nuanced and all-natural treatment; it shows rich floral aromas, citrusy flavors, and a complex bitter profile.
