What began in 1844 as a small-scale distillery in the Kreuz-Post Inn in Germany’s Black Forest is today a medium-sized, family-run enterprise, now in its sixth generation and enjoying international success. Schladerer’s fine fruit brandies have always set the benchmark in the art of distilling. Their exacting demands on the provenance and quality of the fruits, careful fermentation, the skill of their master distillers and a great deal of patience during the aging process provide the foundations for well-balanced distillates that offer an unforgettable taste experience. This cherry liqueur is made by adding Schladerer brandy base to a misture of pure cane sugar and cherry juice from locally grown Black Forest cherries. Here the ripeness and high quality of the fruit itself make for a truly superior distillate.
