The name “Mark Andrews” appears at the bottom of the label, and it was his father, Mark Edwin Andrews, who started bottling Knappogue Castle single malt in Ireland at a time when everyone else was bottling blends. His 1951 vintage, aged 36 years, is one of the oldest and rarest Irish whiskies in the world. Knappogue Castle Whiskey is made exclusively from malted barley and triple-distilled, one batch at a time, then aged in bourbon oak casks for twelve years; it is wonderfully mellow and bright with a rich depth of flavor.
