Founded in 1763 by an Englishman, Thomas Hine, Hine Cognac is highly regarded around the world for producing Cognacs of great quality and complexity, known for their delicacy, vibrance, and finesse. The house is one of the few to regularly release vintage Cognacs, aged in the cellar until they are ready for bottling. Today owned by the French comany EDV SAS, the House of Hine still retains a British connection: it is the only Cognac house to hold a roayal warrant as supplier of contac to the British royal family. H by Hine is the company's entry-level offering, a harmonious blend of twenty cognacs aged for a minimum of four years from grapes grown in the Grande Champagne and the Petite Champagne districts. It has an expressive nose of fresh apricots, acacia and white pepper and is fruity with bright flooral notes on the palate lending a lifting edge to the finish.
