Hayman Distillers is a UK family company that dates from 1863, when Christopher Hayman’s grandfather, James Burrough, bought a small distillery in London. James Burrough Limited was sold to Whitbread in 1987, but the family retained part of the enterprise as Hayman Distillers. All of Hayman's gins are true English gins–produced just as they would have been over 150 years ago. The defining characteristics of Hayman’s Gin include: use of three small copper-pot stills; 24-hour maceration of botanicals, for extra concentration; and the use of 10 classic botanicals in varying proportions depending upon style. Sloe Gin is a traditional English liqueur made from sloeberries from the blackthorn tree, and the Hayman version is made from a family recipe that dates back many generations. Sweetened only with natural sugar, it has bittersweet berry flavors with hints of cinnamon, ginger, and clove.
