The brand is named for Rev. Elijah Craig, the man who discovered the method of making true Kentucky Bourbon when he stored his wares in barrels that had been charred by fire. This 12-year is an impressive small-batch bourbon, full and rich on the nose, full and smooth on the palate, with notes of stewed apples and a hint of spice, toasty oak notes and a creamy sweetness on the finish.
