Located in Eauze, Gers, in Gascony, in the heart of the Armagnac region, Chateau de Millet is the property of Francis and Lydie Deche and daughter Laurence, who represent the fifth and sixth generations of the Deche family here. The domaine comprises roughly 125 acres, producing grapes for Cotes de Gascogne table wines as well as a full line of Armagnacs, all of which are produced from base wines that have been harvested, vinifiied, and distilled at the chateau. Aged for two years in traditional "pièces armagnacaises," large locally made oak barrels, their VS is a young Armagnac that is light amber in color, with a fine bouquet of fruity notes and sharply focused vanilla and admiraable length.
