Located in County Antrim in Northern Island, Bushmills prides itself on being the oldest licensed distillery in the world. As they proclaim on their web site, “we’ve been here for 400 years and don’t plan on leaving any time soon.” Bushmills, along with Jameson, is the iconic representation of Irish whisky. This 10 Year is the youngest of their single malts; it is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured for a minimum of ten years in former sherry casks and bourbon-seasoned casks, which gives it its honey, vanilla, and milk chocolate aromas. All in all, this is a smooth, highly approachable single malt.
